The survey of obstacle and essentiality health providers for sexual health evaluation in women referring to health centers related of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences

Background And Aim
Assessment of sexual health a human right to health services should be considered. In most Asian countries, sexual issues are not important or neglected, it is considered an obscene act. Lack of attention in assessment of sexual health related to sexual dysfunction symptoms such as lack of understanding and frustration of divorce is marriage. This study designed to know existence situation sexual health evaluation and obstructed it in health providers care in health centers of Shahid Beheshti Medical Sciences Tehran, Iran, 2010. Materials And Methods
This descriptive study conducted on 200 providers care include,60 midwifes,50 obstetrics and gynecology residents,30 nurses, 30 surgery residents and 30 internal residents. Participants were selected by multistage sampling and collected data by questionnaire included, Demographic variable, knowledge, attitude, obstacle occupational and sexual health assessment. For analysis of data used SPSS 13 and descriptive statistics and many tests. The significance level of P value less than 0.05 was applied for all of the statistical tests. Results
14% of health providers, performed sexual health assessment. 84.2% agreed with for sexual health assessment. 58% of sexual health providers mentioned lack of knowledge and skill, 62% lack of individual ability, 90% nothing passed Course, 75.5% unfavourite place and 71.5% insufficient time. There was a difference between knowledge between groups. Knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology residents were higher than others. 81% of sexual health providers suggested education. Conclusion
Lack of sexual health assessment is lack of knowledge, ability and skill in this context probably. Therefore we suggested education by teamwork between groups and revised medical educational is necessary.Keywords:
